Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta has been jailed in North Carolina.
Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department told FOX13 Blac Youngsta whose real name is Sammie Benson has been charged for his involvement in a February 26 shooting involving another Memphis rapper, Young Dolph.

A representative for Blac Youngsta confirmed to The FADER that the rapper had surrendered to police: “Memphis based rap artist Blac Youngsta has turned himself in on charges filed in Charlotte NC. The warrants served were based on lyrics from rapper Young Dolph’s Bulletproof mixtape. Youngsta will await arraignment while he maintains innocence and no involvement with the incident.”
Blac Youngsta, was taken into custody on Tuesday morning and is being charged with three felony counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling/occupied vehicle, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office’s website. Two other men surrendered to police in connection with the shooting, TMZ reports.
